Dear Neighbor,
My name is Mayra Uribe, I am a wife, mother, first generation American and for the past eight years, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Orange County Commission, working to strengthen our neighborhoods, support our families, protect our environment, and grow our quality of life.
This is where my husband and I are raising our children - so when I fight for safer streets, timely services, more affordable housing and lower costs, I’m fighting for your family the same way I fight for my own. I know our challenges, and I know our strengths. I’ve sat with residents in their living rooms, walked their neighborhoods, and listened to their hopes for the future.
I’m running for Mayor because Orange County deserves leadership that is experienced, committed and deeply rooted in this community.
I’m ready to lead on day one, to launch a vision that brings transportation solutions, housing opportunities and creates prosperity for all.

- Expand inventory of housing options for working families and improve the county building/permitting process.
- Attracting top-paying jobs and supporting business growth by prioritizing local companies.
- Preserve and expand more green spaces and trails.
- Work with Orange County Public Schools to create career pathways, expand access to higher education and tech training opportunities.
- Strengthen public safety by working closely with our first responders.

I supported and voted for attainable and affordable housing solutions.
Transportation & Infrastructure
I fought for critical funding and road improvements to keep our county moving.
Public Priorities
I developed the Orange County's first 90 day housing shelter, expanded job resources, voted to rebuild our animal shelter and fought for additional funding for the art
Accountability and Efficiency
I voted against tax increases and worked to protect your hard-earned dollars.
Environmental Protection
Key votes to preserve green space and protect rural boundaries. Expanded recreational opportunities, including new parks and a dog park.
Community Support
We hosted community events and distributed food, clothes/shoes and school supplies to families in need.
